Types of Workers’ Compensation Benefits in Oregon
Have you suffered an injury at work that disrupted your life or caused you pain or hardship?
You may be entitled to a variety of benefits provided by your employer and their workers’ compensation insurance. With the help of your attorney, a workers’ compensation judge may require your employer’s insurance to provide a variety of benefits that you might have been denied.

Medical Expenses
If you have sustained a work-related injury, you qualify for medical benefits for your accepted injury. Your benefits should pay for medical care and services, including:
- Emergency room care, Hospital visits
- Doctors’ Appointments
- Surgeries
- Medications
- Rehabilitation and therapy treatments
- X-rays and MRI
Each workers’ compensation case is unique, and you may have had your medical treatment denied. If so, we can help you appeal the denial.
Lost Wages
When approved by your doctor, you can be paid for your lost wages while recovering from a work-related injury. The amount of temporary disability compensation you should receive is based on your wage at the time of your injury. You can also get paid supplemental disability, if you lose wages from a second job.
If you’re not being paid for the work you’ve missed, or you feel you’re not being paid enough temporary disability compensation, we can help.
Vocational Rehabilitation
If your workplace injury prevents you from being able to return to your old job or other suitable employment, you may be eligible to receive vocational assistance, paid for through workers’ compensation. You may be entitled to a variety of vocational assistance services, including:
- Job search assistance
- Vocational counseling
- A full-time training program with pay!
- If you are unable to return to work due to your injury, we’ll help you fight for the vocational rehabilitation and assistance you need.
Permanent Disability Compensation
If your work-related injury has left you with a permanent impairment, your Notice of Closure should be appealed. We can help you get the correct amount of permanent partial disability.
Our dedicated team of attorneys will help you appeal your Notice of Closure or Reconsideration Order at no charge to you. We do not charge any legal fees and only get paid a small percentage if we are successful at winning you an increase in this type of compensation.
Death Benefits
In the terrible event that you have lost someone you love because of a work-related injury or disease, workers’ comp insurance will pay for burial expenses and provide you with compensation for your loved one’s lost wages. Spouses and dependent children are taken into account when wage compensation is calculated.
